Sharp, who was born in Rochester, New York in 1962, studied clarinets, cellos, and pianos at Hochstein School of Music. The Boston Conservatory offered her an award for the theatre classes at her school. After graduating Cum Laude with a B.F.A. Sharp chose to make a move into theatre after graduating Cum Laude with an B.F.A. Sharp was a part of The Broadway National Tour of Carousel and debuted off-Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind and performed in eight roles in the interactive comedy Eat the Runt. Sharp has also performed in Abyssinia as well as Aida in addition to Thunder Knockin, Jitney as well as The Producers. She was even a reader for August Wilson's Come and Gone. Alongside her performances both on stage and the screen, Sharp has several other creative projects that she's co-written or written. An entire recording is on the way. She also continues to sing. Sharp is a fan of fitness. She stays fit by training in boxing, learning Krav Maga, and taking long roadtrips. Sharp lives with her spouse and two children in Los Angeles.
