She began her modeling career before moving into film and television. On CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, her first TV appearance was an episode as a background extra. She soon bagged the breakthrough part as Kandi in Two and a Half Men. Bowlby has received worldwide acclaim due to her character, Stacy Barrett, in the successful series Drop Dead Diva. She played the recurring role of the character Rita Farr/Elastigirl on the American web series Titans. The spin-off series Doom Patrol will see her reprise her role as the character.
